The first step to Antaeus Company membership is participation as a guest artist in Antaeus readings, workshops, study sessions or productions. Guest artists are often actors whose work is known to the company and whose resumes feature extensive classical theater training and/or experience. Younger actors whose resumes do not yet reflect a range of theater experience often perform with the company by auditioning for and participating in The Antaeus Academy Training Program.
 
Guest artists are actors recommended by current company members, or are asked to participate based on resume submission or audition. Guest artist auditions are held every year at the end of August and are scheduled on an periodic basis year round. Antaeus welcomes Guest Artist submissions from AEA members with extensive classical theater training and experience.

Auditions for The Antaeus Academy are held every August and January and on a periodic basis year round. Some early career artists who participate in Academy training programs such as Classical Styles or Shakespeare Workout are invited to become a part of A2, The Academy Company. Antaeus goes to A2 first when casting younger roles and A2 members present their own projects and workshops along with appearing in company plays. Every summer Antaeus offers one ten-week paid internship through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission. Visit lacountyarts.org for more information and application. Antaeus offers unpaid internships in all theater disciplines. Interns have the opportunity to work with established directors, designers and professional actors gain valuable real-world experience, and become part of a vibrant theater community.
