ClassicsFest is our popular annual play reading festival which gives the actors and audience members a first look at new projects initiated by company members. With each reading, the audience is invited to experience the earliest stages of rehearsal, before the sets and costumes, as the actors explore the text to unearth the truth of the work and the surprises that may lie within.
Twelve readings for 2012! For the first time, ClassicsFest will be presented in two acts with six different plays in each act. Act I begins in March 2012 and Act II runs October 2012.

A2 Late Nights: Discover them before the world does! Young. Raw. Uncensored. Stick around after the mainstage plays for guerilla classics featuring the crème de la crème of young, upcoming professional actors, directed by the best emerging theater talents.
Classical Styles Scene Nights: In early December, the new crop of Academy talent presents scenes from The Greeks, Shakespeare, Shaw, Wilde and Coward. In May the presentation focuses on Chekhov, Ibsen and Strindberg, American Classics, Molière and restoration comedy
Auditing Classes and Study Groups: From Dakin Matthews leading a text-analysis intensive on Shakespeare, to Annette Bening leading a scene-study class in Chekhov, a limited number of auditing opportunities are available for all Academy education programs.
