The Antaeus Company is an ensemble company.

In this production of The Wood Demon,
each role has been learned by at least three different actors,
in a combination of sharing, alternating, covering and understudying.

Over the course of nearly 60 performances,
there were more than fifty different configurations of actors
playing the following roles:

Aleksander Vladimirovich Serebryakov (Sasha), a retired professor
Yelena Andreyevna, his wife
Sofya Aleksandrovna (Sonya), his daughter by his first marriage
Marya Vassiliyevna Voynitskaya (Mama),
  the widow of a government minister and mother of the professor's first wife
Yegor Petrovich Voynitsky (Zhorzh), her son
Leonid Stepanovich Zheltoukhin (Lyonya),
  a wealthy young landowner who studied some engineering
  at the university without taking a degree
Yuliya Stepanovna (Yulya), his sister
Ivan Ivanovich Orlovsky (Godfather), a neighboring landowner
Fyodor Ivanovich Orlovsky (Fedya), his son
Mikhail Lvovich Khrushchov (Wood Demon), a landowner with a degree in medicine
Ilya Ilyich Dyadin (Waffles), his tenant
Vassili, Zheltoukhin's manservant
Semyon, a worker at the mill
Sergey Nikodimich, a guest at Zheltoukhin's party
Yefim, the night watchman at Serebryakov's estate
Maids to the various families
