EVENT:
The Anteaus Company's "Pedrolino and the Hankie of Doom,
or,
He
Thought It Was Pesto, but It's Not."
Directed
by John Achorn
DESCRIPTION:
A Commedia dell'Arte show, using traditional elements of mask
and character archetypes, costumed in a mixture of Renassance
and modern styles. Pedrolino, a foolish and shy servant, encounters
an ominous hankie which he believes holds the seeds for his -
and perhaps mankind's -- destruction. Rumors circulate and snowball
out of control, until the whole town anticipates some unknown
disaster. Although the show is improvised and specifics change
from performance to performance, a happy ending is traditional.
