Los Angeles Students
in the 10th, 11th and 12th grades
will study, memorize and perform
a monologue and sonnet
from the works of
WILLIAM
SHAKESPEARE.
The first 50 applicants will participate in the Opening Rounds
on Monday, May 1, 3 - 6 pm
and Saturday, May 8, 1 - 6 PM
to advance to the
Semi Final
and
Final
Rounds at
NewPlace Theatre Center in
the NoHo Arts Distrct.
Semi-Finals will take place
at NewPlace during the
NOHO THEATER
& ARTS FESTIVAL
on Saturday, May 15, 2004
THE FINALISTS
will work with selected members
of the Antaeus Company
to polish
their performances
for the FINAL ROUND on
Saturday, May 29, 4 to 6
pm.
All FINALISTS
will win prizes.
The Final Four Winners
will each receive the
DAKIN MATTHEWS
PRIZE:
$200.00 cash
and will perform before a public audience
in June during The Antaeus Company
SPRINGFEST 2004
classical theater festival.
